Summary
The Lions battling display earned them another three points in a very tight game that could have gone either way. Owen scored the winner with a brilliant header from Ben’s corner that should never have been but for a mistake by the home keeper who had played a blinder up till then. Liam was outstanding in midfield with able assistance from Luke and Adam. Nathan scored his usual predatory goal early on to get the lions back in the game. Darren made some good saves and was unfortunate not to receive any sympathy from the referee when pushed over during the Batley goal. Travis and Jack were solid and determined in defence while Connor B, Ben and Jacob lended support from the bench. This win maintains the Lions top four position.
