Summary
The Lions took a well-earned point from a tough looking game at Batley. Jacob scored two great goals in the first half as Wibsey played the ball around nicely and could have scored more if it wasn’t for the home keeper. Failure to take those first half chances cost the Lions in the second half as Batley came back in to the game and scored a deserved equaliser. Jack was safe in goal and impressed with his kicking game. Travis, Connor B and Connor K played a solid line at the back while Ben and Owen created some good chances for Jacob. Nathan came on towards the end to tighten the ship as Batley pushed for a winner but the Lions held on for a brave point that moves them up to mid-table.
