Summary
The Lions did the double over Wyke on the day with a mirror image score. Wyke were more in this game but failed to take their chances whereas Wibsey were more determined and stronger than their rivals. Darren had a good game in goals and kept a brilliant clean sheet aided by the outstanding Travis and Luke in defence. Adam did well to fill in the hole in the midfield while Jack, Connor K, Nathan, Owen and Ben pushed up to get the goals with a comical own goal between Charlie and Jared making it six of the best. Liam was tenacious in the tackle and won many challenges before retiring injured with an elbow in the face. Jacob and Connor B made late appearances from the bench to ensure a great day all round for the pride of Wibsey.
