Wyke are still searching for a Home win, after getting hammered at home to Dewsbury Rangers.

The Final score of 6-1 doesn't tell the story, but Dewsbury did deserve to win the game.

Wyke started lively, and things looked good for Wyke, for the first 10 minutes of the game.

However Dewsbury settled well into the game, and it became fairly evenly matched, both teams having a few half chances. Michael Brooksbank had an early chance, but it whistled past the
post.

Wyke's recent problems with defending, were still causing problems, and Dewsbury missed a couple of chances that they should have scored. Wyke were lucky to still be at 0-0.

Dewsbury did eventually score after 20 minutes. They scored from a header from a corner, the goal was well taken, and nobody was at fault.

Dewsbury then scored again, a very soft goal compared to the first. Tai Pedder didn't realise play had restarted, and Wyke were caught out, and Scott Morris scored an own goal trying to clear the ball.

However 2 minutes later, Scott made up for the own goal, by scoring in the right goals moments later and Wyke were back in the game.

Half time 2-0

Bad news at half time as Keeper Joe Couble had to come off the pitch, due to being unwell, unfortunately Wyke's 2nd Keeper Joe McLoughlin was not playing, so Louis Muff had to return to the nets after 2 1/2 years.

Wyke let in two goals early in the second half, which really should not have gone in. Wyke were starting to miss Joe Couble in goals.

Suddenly from being 2-1 down, Wyke were now trailing 4-1, and things were not looking good.

Wyke had a couple of chances in the 2nd half. Mikey Brooksbank had a couple of chances, but he didnt manage to score.

Wyke's second half display was pretty dissapointing. At the Back Tai and Owen again were not at their best and didn't deal with the Dewsbury attacks. Dom Pickersgill and Nathan also spent most of the game running after the ball. Dewsbury were very good at winning the ball in the air, and Wyke's midfield needs to be better at challenging for the ball, as Dewsbury held most of the posession.

Dewsbury scored another 2 well taken goals, Louis in goals had no chance, but again both could have been avoided by better defending.

One plus for the game, was that Wyke played much better on the wings. Scott played very well in the 1st half, on the left wing, and jake did well on the right. Ashton also did well on the left wing during the 2nd half.

Final Result- 6-1 to Dewsbury

Wyke didnt play anywhere near as well as they can, but 6-1 was an unfair scoreline. Mostly caused by missing Joe Couble in goals. It could have been a different game, but we have to get on with it, because we have 2 massive games coming up, v Vision and YMCA. We have to be better at the back or Vision and YMCA will score a lot of goals.

Man of the Match: Scott Morris, Scott worked so hard today, he played very well on the left wing, which was a very busy place!! He also played well at left back, and put in some crucial tackles. Scott Didnt stop working all Game, and was rewarded with a goal.

Goals: Scott Morris
