Wyke U11’s 0-3 Barugh.
Although Wyke’s form has been pretty poor lately, the prospect of playing Barugh was a good one. Wyke’s only win of the season was earlier on against Barugh away. However in a very tight match, Wyke were eventually defeated by three goals, after being unable to convert their chances to goals.

In the first half, Wyke looked to be equal to their opponents, the defence was a little shakey, but Wyke’s midfield were playing well, Scott, Dom P and Nathan were linking up well, and Wyke had a couple of chances in the first half. Wyke were playing well down the right of the pitch, Captain Louis Muff was doing his job well at right-back, and putting the ball through to Jake Gilderdale who was causing all sorts of problems for the Barugh left-back. However nothing came of the possession, Connor Rhodes had a couple of chances but nothing to trouble the keeper.
Barugh took the lead after a bit of sloppy defending, which was a little unfair on Wyke, who had been their equals through the match.

Wyke’s performance wasn’t as good in the second half. Again there were chances, Connor had another chance, and Joe McLoughlin who had come out of goals, was playing well on the left wing.
Wyke continued to press for the equaliser, however it never came, and

Barugh scored another two in the last 10 minutes of the game to put the game beyond doubt.

A good effort from Wyke Wanderers, but again their inability to score goals has been costly again.

Man of the Match: Jake Gilderdale, Jake had a fine match on the right of midfield. He was much quieter in the second half, but he made some great runs in the first, and gave 100% throughout the match.
