Wyke 4-7 Howden Clough
Wyke started the game pretty poorly, and got punished by Howden Clough as they took the lead 1-0.
Mikey Brooksbank scored a great goal to put Wyke back in the game.
However Wyke's poor defending, led to another Howden Clough Goal.
Howden Clough continued to attack, and an own goal, led to a 3-1 scoreline.
Owen and Tai, were not having the best of games, and the team was suffering.
The second half, started with a quick goal for Wyke, Again Michael Brooksbank, scored a great goal, to keep Wyke in the game.
However Wyke couldn't stop letting goals in, and unfortunately, Howden Clough went 4-2 up.
Wyke started to play very well after the goal, and Nathan and Dom P in the middle were starting to command the middle of the pitch. Nathan was rewarded with a goal, to put Wyke into the game, the ball fell to him, and he placed it into the back of the net.
However Howden Clough were too good for the Wyke defence and scored again.
Mikey, who played brilliantly, scored again, to complete a well deserved hatrick,
However Howden Clough scored two goals late on to put the game beyond doubt.
Man of the Match: Mikey Brooksbank, he was brilliant again. He scored a hatrick, and kept a glimmer of hope alive, that we could get something out of the game.
Other key players: Matty Dignam, Matty played very well at left back today, and remained strong throughout the game. Also Nathan Khan played well in the second half, commanding the middle of the pitch, and started wining balls, also he scored a goal.
